Geography

Finland,the seventh-largest country of Europe,borders in the northwest on Sweden, in the north on Norway and in the east on the Russian federation. The Bottni sea bosom (west coast of Finland) and the Finnish sea bosom (south coast) belong to the Baltic Sea. Before the coast approx. 80,000 islands (most at the south and southwest coast) lie, in the inland give it to 188,000 lakes with further 98,000 islands, the largest sea-plate of Europe. 10% of the country consist of water, 69% of forest areas and 8% are agriculturally used. In the south and southwest of the country outweigh, fir and Birch forests. Highly in the north, in Lappland, the tree existence is more meager, and short Birch prevail forwards.
